His Forbidden Princess (Royal Holiday #4) by Jeannie Moon

Book Blurb:

Eight years ago, university student Ian Stuart fell in love with his sweet, beautiful classmate and he’s never forgotten her. Sofie loved Ian with all her heart in return, but she didn’t trust him with one little detail about her life she’d neglected to share.

She was a princess, and they could never be together in the outside world.

Now Crown Princess Sofia is in danger. An insurgent faction in her country has targeted the royal family, and while Sofia is visiting the United States, she is forced to go into hiding. Assigned to protect her is none other than FBI Special Agent Ian Stuart.

Once again Ian and Sofie are in an impossible situation, fighting their feelings for one another, while trying to stay safe. Will their love for each other prove to be the most dangerous game of all?

My Review:

His Forbidden Princess by Jeannie Moon is a second chance fairy tale romance that I loved!

Eight years have passed since things ended abruptly and unexpectedly between Sofia and Ian.  Now danger, threats, and an uncertain future bring them back together because it's Ian's job to protect Sofia.

I really liked both of these characters.  They are trying to keep the past behind them to focus on the present, but the feelings are still there...maybe even stronger.  Because neither of them truly got over the other.  Even with the royal aspect, I felt that Ian and Sofia are characters that are realistic, and the emotions they experience ones that are relatable.

With international intrigue, suspense, and a love that's never been forgotten, His Forbidden Princess has an interesting plot and Jeannie's writing flows smoothly off the pages.  I really enjoyed this plot and they dynamics of all of the characters.  I found myself really hoping that Ian and Sofia could have their second chance, but can Ian fit into Sofia's world, however it ends up?

I'd recommend His Forbidden Princess to any romance reader looking for a quick read that is easy to feel absorbed into!
